Next Level BellyDance 4 class course! This class is for you if you want to expand into deeper learning of the bellydance art-form.

Join us online and/or in-person at Sahara Studio, Scotland’s Centre For Bellydancing with Principle Teacher, Founder and Priestess of Feminine Arts, Lindsey Marie Silver.

Each week we'll explore a new facet of the dance, building your skills, confidence and sisterhood.

Enjoy live drumming and the art of the drum solo, layering shimmies, choreography sequences, finger cymbals, single & double veil dancing, Egyptian saidi stick dancing, Lebanese dynamism, Turkish Roma tradition and the principals of performance to name a few topics we’ll study in BellyDance Intermediates at Sahara Studio with Lindsey.

All of this gorgeous Middle Eastern Bellydance artistry is supported by our sisterhood community; a new group of friends who all share with you this empowering practice, together, uncovering the hidden depths and forgotten ritual knowledge of the maiden, the wild woman, the sovereign, warrior, magician and crone ~ meld into the sacred feminine energy archetypes within you. HEALTH BENEFITS: Through regular attendance at these classes you will benefit from the vast health benefits of bellydance, improving mental health and self esteem and physically increasing predominantly coordination and muscle tone whilst refining large & finer motorskills. Expect to burn around 400-500kcal per class.

FUTHER OPPORTUNITIES: * Progress into our Advanced Training (ask for details) * For adventurous dancers optional performance opportunities exist though Sahara Studio - both amateur and professional. These range in audience size from 10 people to 35,000+ people. If this is of interest to you, do enquire at class)

WHO IS IT FOR?
Suitable for improvers and from beginners+ Previous attendance at minimum of 2 terms of BellyBasics™ classes will ensure you gain the most enjoyment from these classes Suitable for all ages & fitness abilities

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable clothing & belly bling - leggings/circle skirt/harem pants, choli top/bodystocking, bare feet/FootGloves, hipscarf, any props requested by teacher for studio.

Genuine authentic costuming handmade by our friends in fairtrade partnership cooperatives in Egypt, Morocco, Turkiye & India is available to purchase at the studio where you can try before you buy!

WHERE?
This is a HYBRID CLASS. Flexibility to join in-person and online. IN-PERSON Classes are held in-person at Bellydance Scotland’s own private temple space, sacred SAHARA STUDIO, 11C Murieston Lane, Edinburgh, EH11 2LX

ONLINE classes are streamed live in 4K film production quality and hosted over zoom. You will automatically receive zoom code and password when you book this class and can choose to join us in-person or online each week. This is perfect for holiday times and those with a busy schedule.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your class is due to start.

REFRESHMENTS?
As with any physical activity hydration and blood-sugar levels are important. You are welcome to bring your own water bottle and snack. Refreshments including Costa coffee and Cadbury’s hot chocolate are available to purchase at Sahara Studio and can be enjoyed whilst relaxing in our Lunara Lounge.

Class sizes are kept small enough to ensure your optimum safety, learning and enjoyment.
