Inspirations:

After our recent heart opening short improvisational performance at Little Egypt Studio's January Hafla party; of Lindsey's illuminated Goddess Isis wings, moving gracefully and majestically to Peter's soaring harmonic Overtone singing melodies; following many enthusiastic requests, we decided to bring you a full evening's light and sound experience.

Origins:

I'd originally given Lindsey the light Isis Goddess wings as a Christmas present, for her to shine her light in a more expansive way, that further embodied the magnitude of her spirit and love of dance through the extended wingspan, in the same way my voice is an expression of the magnitude of my inner being connected to spirit. I also knew Lindsey's grace in dance would bring life to the wings, like a Firebird in flight.

We trialed the Goddess wings one night in the studio, before the Hafla party, with only the light of the wings, which danced like fireflies in the night. Lindsey's fluidity of movement was like watching a bird on the wing; a phoenix gliding silently through a starry sky. It was utterly mesmerising.

Lindsey:

I can talk in front of an audience of several hundred people, perform dance for tens of thousands and yet in my life there remain situations that challenge me to shine my brightest. Perhaps you yourself can identify with this in your own life? Personally, the combined enhanced wingspan and strong illumination of gold Isis Goddess wings highlights for me, in physical form, this playing small psychology and an opportunity for growth and expansion. Someone heard me on this, it was Peter.

Peter:

Long ago, my degree dissertation, involved research into weaving many creative disciplines, as a new language of wordless communication. After our heartfelt performance and wonderful feedback at the Hafla party, I was very excited to explore all of this further as well as the improvisational interplay between Lindsey's Goddess wings dance with my singing, through all of the beautiful patterns created by the illuminated wings in motion.

The Performance:

You are warmly welcome to join us for a truely inspiring and unique candle lit evening. Our upcoming performance is an alchemical celebration, exploring the beautiful relationship between glowing Goddess wings in mesmerising motion, dancing to relaxing & soaring Overtone singing melodies with occasional accompanying recorded music.

As our combined light shines through sharing this journey with you all, our hope is that this performance evening empowers everyone to shine their own light in their own way.

Marianne Williamson once said:

'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.'
